DAYSPRING HEARTCARE AND SUPPORT FOUNDATION respects the privacy of its members, volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries. This policy outlines how we handle your data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPR) and other applicable data protection regulations. We are committed to processing personal information lawfully, transparently, and securely.

1. Information Collection

  • We may collect personal information such as name, contact details, donations, and medical support requests.
  • Information is collected solely for charitable, administrative, and communication purposes.

2. Use of Information

  • Information is used to deliver welfare packages, manage membership, organize events, and facilitate medical assistance.
  • Donor details are used strictly for acknowledgment, communication, and financial record-keeping.

3. Confidentiality

All personal and medical information will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed without consent, except as required by law.

4. Data Security

Reasonable measures are taken to protect data from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.

5. Third-Party Sharing

The Foundation may collaborate with hospitals, medical professionals, or partner organizations. Only relevant information necessary for support will be shared.

6. Donations & Financial Data

  • All donations are used exclusively for the Foundation’s charitable programmes, as outlined in our mission.
  • Donor financial data (credit card numbers, bank details) are never stored on our servers; payments are processed by secure third‑party gateways.
  • We maintain transparent financial records, subject to annual independent audit.
  • Donors may request a summary of how their contributions have been utilized.

7. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued engagement with the Foundation constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Finance, Account & Audit

  • The Foundation generates its funds through donations, voluntary member contributions, and any other source approved by the Trustees.
  • The Treasurer maintains a detailed record of all sums received.
  • An annual budget is prepared by the Trustees and presented to the General Meeting for approval.
  • Extra‑budgetary expenditures require Trustee approval; in emergencies, the Chairman may give anticipatory approval, later ratified by the Trustees.
  • Accurate records of all receipts and expenditure are kept at the Foundation’s secretariat.
  • Within two months of each financial year‑end, the Treasurer presents an annual financial statement to the Trustees.
  • An independent auditor is appointed at the Annual General Meeting to audit the financial records and report to members.
  • The Foundation may operate bank accounts with licensed banks in Nigeria and abroad, with mandates determined by the Trustees.
  • The Treasurer operates an imprest account as directed by the Trustees.

9. Financial Year

The financial year of the Foundation commences on 1st January and ends on 31st December of each year.
